One of the traps has also helped reduce the risks for residents and has given way to public works.
"The danger of cats being poisoned by toxic herbicide is very large," said Dr Lisa Brescia, from the National Trust for Animal Health in London.
"If it is not kept and properly monitored, it can become a major problem for pets and pets living in densely-populated areas.
"People are very concerned about their pets when they are in proximity of the chemicals being injected. We have had people who have been on the market for years who have been poisoned in one way or another by poisonous herbicides and we are always on the lookout."
