This year, the International Association of Red-Faced Plants (IOTA) plans to raise over $25 million to expand in the region starting March 11.
IOTA is a consortium of 3- to 5-nation conservation organizations with the goal of protecting and beautifying native plants from invasive species such as Asian tiger, tiger-cat, Chinese carp, and prawns. This project would open up up a new world of plants for the world's animals, insects, birds and amphibians, as well as their habitats and livelihoods.
This will be based on growing at an estimated 65% efficiency and maintaining a 100% grass cover throughout the region. Red Fenion, the initiative's CEO, has called the grass planting the first step towards achieving this goal.
