How bamboo shoots work

To kill the bamboo stalk, you can use a bamboo skewer with either a bamboo string or bamboo needles and kill it instantly. You can also kill it by placing the bamboo into a bag and holding out one or both ends of the bamboo skewer, such as when you are carrying bamboo in a pack.
